Childbirth Education

Are you currently pregnant? Whether this is your first time, last time or any number in between, our antenatal classes are available free for you to attend. We provide weekend and weekday courses depending on the time of year, so get in touch and we can find a course that’s right for you. Our team would love to support you in developing a deeper understanding of your incredible body and its abilities and also how to make the right decision for you and your whānau regarding your new little bundle. This is also a great opportunity to meet and develop a network of friends and support as you go through this journey at the same time.

Our childbirth education course covers:

  • Nutrition and exercise during pregnancy
  • Labour signs and stages
  • Pain relief options and interventions
  • The birth process and birth video
  • Informed decision making on vitamin K and immunisations
  • Breastfeeding and newborn care
  • Postnatal depression

Not just for first time parents. A great opportunity to meet other new parents. Support persons welcomed. Courses run over four weeks in the evening from 7-9pm, we also offer weekend courses.
